Philosophy

Woodland Heights promotes the wellness, happiness and independence of all who choose to live here. Our goal is to provide housing, care for people, link generations and meet the varied service needs of seniors.

Our Assisted Living Philosophy is based on a social model of care, rather than a medical model of care. This places the resident at the center of the decision-making process. We will support each resident in a way that celebrates his/her dignity, individuality and independence. We strive to create a home-like setting where residents enjoy a personalized daily routine in the privacy of their own apartment. We encourage family and friends to stay involved in the lives of their loved ones by participating in daily activities and special events.

We strive to hire personnel who are qualified, caring and dedicated professionals. Employment is based on qualifications and not race, creed, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation or national origin. This community provides constant educational and training opportunities. Every employee must agree to uphold our code of ethics, abide by our standards of behavior and promote the principles and values of Person Centered Care.
